Oligonucleotide Switches for Optical Biosensing

Abstract

Molecular switches (MSs) are molecules suitably designed of turning on or modifying their light emission upon interaction with specific targets. The purpose of this talk is to provide an exhaustive overview on the design, implementation, and characterization of MSs for intracellular mRNA monitoring or on how they can be adequately engineered to be coupled with optical systems in order to develop optical biosensing tools for diagnostics.
